It's been a week...

and I still don't have much to say.

Orangecat, James and Jessie have been incredibly naughty all week, James has been pulling wallpaper off, Jessie has been scratching my face every morning to wake me up (Blackcat usually wakes me up by pawing at my head and purring so she's not being quite as cute) and Orangecat has been sitting on me to pin me down while the other two poke at me and running around like crazy chasing Jessie and James.

I have decided that I am going to replay Pokemon Blue and Silver and try to catch 'em all with my boyfriend who will be playing Red and Gold, I never had a link cable as a child so this is incredibly exciting for me! My gbc's sound doesn't work though, well it does if I use headphones, but I want to annoy everyone with the battle music like I used to. I'm waiting on a nintendo screwdriver to arrive so I can open it up and hopefully fix the problem, it rattles about so I'm going to assume something has just come loose. I found my Pokemon gbc pouch earlier, forgot how badass it was.

It's been a horrible week, I had such a scare with Blackcat where I thought I was going to lose him, he's still at the vets and doing better than he was. It's been a long 16 days and I miss him very much, I just want him to get better so everyone can be happy again. I miss sleeping with him in my arms and him sucking on my hair when I've just washed it, and him talking to me when I'm trying to play WoW, then when I didn't listen he would jump up and sit on the laptop so I have to stop playing.

I now have a week off work so hopefully some exciting things will happen and maybe Blackcat can come home so I can take excessive amounts of pictures of him to make up for lost time!

Welcome!

So for my first post I thought I'd introduce myself and the four friends I will probably be blogging about.

Hello! My name is Robyn, I absolutely adore my 4 cats and spend way more time than I should talking to people (who don't really care about cats) about them. A blog seems like a good way of focussing my cat related ideas to the internet and those who care so I don't have to bore real life people with conversation they don't enjoy. My life basically consists of; getting woken up by the cats for food, going back to sleep for a couple of hours, waking up again and having a cup of tea, checking memebase, playing with the cats, going to work, coming home and playing with the cats some more or playing WoW or CoD, then feeding the cats and going to bed. Sometimes I like to draw and make things, but generally that ends quite disastrously so I don't bother so much now. I also rather enjoy baking and do that quite often on my days off.

These are the most recent cupcakes I made, cupcakes are cute and I like swirly frosting. I don't know why, but I find the one that's falling over rather amusing and can't help but giggle whenever I see it. Anyway, enough about cakes and me, here are the main focus of this blog.

This is Blackcat, I would have liked to have put a clearer photo here but he's been at the vets for the past week so I'm unable to take a better one, this one sums him up quite well though. He's been very poorly with a blocked bladder but hopefully coming home soon so I can continue to spoil him with cuddles and treats. He is 2 and a half and I got him at a shelter in July 2009 where he was found wandering near a rubbish tip, I've had him since he was 2 months old, he sleeps on my head and keeps me warm with his vast amount of fluff. He is a diva at heart and gets upset when someone or something is getting more attention.

This is Orangecat, he's wandered to play while I've been writing this and won't let me take a nice picture, so i won't bother with that idea for today. I got him the same time as Blackcat as he was also found somewhere as a tiny kitten, they were placed together since they were the same age, to stop them being so mischievous as kittens often are. He is very laid back and tends to just ignore everything that's going on, unless there's food involved.

This is Jessie, she is incredibly naughty but gets away with just about anything with that little face of hers. She just chills on my shoulders, I got her in July 2011, along with her brother James. She came from a friend who's cat had "unwanted" kittens, she loves being fussed and farts constantly, I think she's just trying to be one of the lads to fit in with the others. She often gets into places she shouldn't be going but just looks at me and ends up getting treats out of it.

This is James, Jessie's brother, when they were younger the only way to tell them apart was James' feet. James is much like Orangecat and copies everything he does, neither of them don't really like cuddles and go super stiff if you try. He's probably the quietest of the cats and doesn't make a fuss unless food is involved, he sleeps most of the day, but I enjoy waking him up because I'm mean.

Hopefully I get the hang of this blogging thing and stick to it longer than I did with twitter, as that ended up with my account being deleted after using it for a month and not really getting it.
